MJS Direct Donation Campaign 2023-2024

IN LIEU OF TRADITIONAL FUNDRAISING, MJS PTO ASKS FOR A SINGLE DIRECT DONATION CONTRIBUTION OF $25 PER STUDENT

The MJS PTO is 501c3 non-profit organization.  In addition to planning fun school wide community events, the MJS PTO funds many of the additional "extras" that supplement and enrich our children's school experience. Think playground, outdoor play experiences, additional classroom materials for the teachers and our students, field trips, cultural arts, and more!

• Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 through our donation campaign
• All donations are tax deductible
• Did you know that many employers offer matching for donations made to 501c3 non-profit organizations?  This is a GREAT way to double your impact!
• $25/student is suggested, any contribution amount is greatly appreciated!

Donations help support:

• Playground/Field (maintenance and new additions like swings, balls, bean bags, black top stencils, recess needs, etc.)
• Student events/activities (Back to School picnic, Fall Festival, Field Day, end-of-year picnic/celebrations, 4th grade stepping up ceremony, popsicle/balloon reading party...)
• Field Trips (ALL grade levels)
• Cultural Arts (assemblies)
• Community Events (Float/Citizen's Day Parade, Early Guilford Day, GFFE Spelling Bee)
• Teacher Stipends (helps teachers add those "extras" to their classroom such as rolling computer carts, educational materials, supplies, etc.)
• Teacher Grants (fund unique special learning projects and hands-on activities)
