MJS PTO DIRECT DONATION 

2023-2024

IN LIEU OF TRADITIONAL FUNDRAISING, MJS PTO ASKS FOR A SINGLE DIRECT DONATION CONTRIBUTION OF $25 PER STUDENT

The MJS PTO asks for a one time donation in lieu of traditional fundraising activities. These donations support many activities for your child throughout the year.  Receiving your donation at the beginning of the school year enables us to plan and fund upcoming activities for the students for the entire school year.  While contributions are voluntary, we ask that each family contribute.  We appreciate any denomination that works best for your family.

Donations provide support for the following: 

• Playground/Field (maintenance and new additions like swings, balls, bean bags, black top stencils, recess needs, etc.)
• Student events/activities (Back to School picnic, Fall Festival, Field Day, end-of-year picnic/celebrations, 4th grade stepping up ceremony, popsicle/balloon reading party...)
• Field Trips (ALL grade levels)
• Cultural Arts (assemblies)
• Community Events (Float/Citizen's Day Parade, Early Guilford Day, GFFE Spelling Bee)
• Teacher Stipends (helps teachers add those "extras" to their classroom such as rolling computer carts, educational materials, supplies, etc.)
• Teacher Grants (fund unique special learning projects and hands-on activities)

 Amount of $25/student donation to the PTO is suggested, but any amount is accepted and appreciated.  All Donations to the MJS PTO are tax deductible.

Pay by Check

Checks are also accepted if you prefer.  Please make checks payable to "MJS PTO".  Direct Donations made by check can either be sent in with your child in a clearly marked envelope stating "MJS PTO Donation" or you can place your donation in the PTO Mailbox in the school's front lobby.
